Ravielli’s early work with Sports Illustrated, and his later position at golf digest as head illustrator allowed him access to some of golf’s greatest stars. In addition to his work for Ben Hogan in The Five Lessons, Ravielli illustrated covers, articles, and books for many of golf’s great champions from the PGA and LPGA.
His subjects included Jack Nicklaus, Sam Snead, Tom Watson, Johnny Miller, Mickey Wright, Arnold Palmer, Isao Aoki, Seve Ballesteros, Nancy Lopez, Byron Nelson, Jimmy Demaret, Hale Irwin, Jerry Pate, and many more. We are in the process of scanning, archiving, and re-touching this amazing collection of golf images. In the future more of these great photos will be available in prints and for licensed uses.
