THE PROPER GRIP

Shows a smiling Ben Hogan looking down at his grip. He is positioning his hands so that they are in the proper position. He would then wrap his fingers and know that he had the perfect grip position. This photo was used by Ravielli to create the drawing that appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated in March of 1957. It was also on the cover of the first versions of The Five lessons.

The photo is currently available in three forms seen at right. The unframed version is a top quality C-Print developed from the original negative by Modern Age lab NYC. The presentation matted version is double matted with title below. The framed version utilizes the presentation matting in a lovely hard wood veneered frame.

The last item is a painting by amazing NY sports artist Chaz Denny. I have currently commisioned him to do a painting of Approaching Impact that will soon be available in a limited edition print. Stay tuned.
